Recently leaks have been circulating about the next Call of Duty game set to release in 2024. Rumors have been going around that the next title will be developed by Treyarch Studios and is set in the 1990's during the Gulf War.
Now, further information about Call of Duty 2025 seems to be appearing online. Infamous Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson and his Gaming News website, Insider Gaming, say that COD 2025 will be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Insider Gaming claims that 2025's game will be set slightly into the future and feature some classic Black Ops 2 maps but not completely after backlash from Modern Warfare III critics for launching exclusively with Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps.
The release date for Call of Duty 2025 is still nearly 2 years away so this information is subject to change but fans will be delighted to see a return to such a fan-favourite era of Call of Duty.
