For months now there has been speculation that DMZ has been cancelled as content has taken a sharp fall and less resources seemed to be heading into the mode. It has now been confirmed by Call of Duty that the mode will continue to receive support through Modern Warfare III.
Although support has been pledged, the mode will continue to be played on Al-Mazrah, Ashika Island, Vondel, Building 21 and Koschei Complex. No mention of new exclusion zones has been made.
DMZ has grown it's own dedicated community of hardcore fans over the course of the last year and with recent rumours circulating that the mode had been canned this comes as a pleasant surprise.
That being said no mention of real content has been made other than the mode will continue to be accessible and potentially some updates will arrive in the coming months.
