How to Unlock NEW Melee Weapons in Black Ops 6 Season 02 Reloaded

This is a quick guide on how to unlock NEW Melee Weapons in Black Ops 6 Season 02 Reloaded. S02 Reloaded will introduce 6 brand-new Weapons, 5 of which are Melee, for players to unlock and level up. Four of these weapons are now available to unlock via two different methods.

Season 02 Reloaded has introduced Dual Katanas, Bo Staff, Sai, and Nunchaku, with a Skateboard and a Sawblade. The real question is, how do you unlock them, and how can you track your progress?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Bundles Method (PAID)

There are two methods to unlock all of the new Melee Weapons that are available in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The first method is to purchase a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Bundle.

There are a total of 4 TMNT Bundles on offer, each with their own Melee Weapon Blueprint. Once you own this Bundle, its respective Melee Weapon will become available to you.

Each Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle has its own special Melee Weapon and Blueprint. Purchasing one of these Bundles will permanently unlock the Turtles weapon.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Weapons

  • Leonardo - Dual Katanas

  • Michelangelo - Nunchaku

  • Donatello - Bo Staff

  • Raphael - Sai

Each Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Bundle costs 2400 COD Points. If you want to purchase all 4 you'll need an eye-watering 9600 COD Points. But, there is a FREE method too.

Armory Unlock Method (FREE)

The second method, which is the FREE route, requires a bit of a grind. You'll need to earn XP by playing Black Ops 6 Multiplayer or Zombies, or Warzone.

How to Reach the Armory Page

Black Ops 6 or Warzone 'Menu' > Select 'Barracks' > 'Challenges' > 'Armory'

Armory Unlock Method (FREE)

Each Melee Weapon (and the Hunter's Instinct Perk) can be obtained via the games Armory Unlock challenges, but the price is steep.

Armory Unlock Requirements

  • Katanas - 250,000 XP

  • Bo Staff - 250,000 XP

  • Sai - 250,000 XP

  • Nunchaku - 250,000 XP

  • Hunter's Instinct (Perk) - 100,000 XP

Seems easy enough right? Well, the only caveat to this method is that XP doesn't stack. You'll need to fully unlock one Melee by earning 250,000 XP before the next Melee Weapon begins to see progress in the Armory page.

Armory Unlock Requirements

This means you will need to earn a total of 1 Million XP to unlock the Katanas, Bo Staff, Sai, and Nunchaku. If you have a favourite Melee you'd like to unlock ahead of the others you can select it in the Armory as 'Currently Active' meaning all XP will go towards that one first.

Fast XP Strategy Recommendations

1 Million XP is a lot of XP, there is no getting around that. But, there are a few ways to quickly earn XP in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Black Ops 6 Zombies is a very quick way to earn XP, matches continue on for long periods uninterrupted, unlike Multiplayer meaning you can really start to rack up the Experience Points. Putting Double XP Tokens on will also double the XP earn rate.

Players who own Black Ops 6 also get a 30% XP Boost in Warzone, so playing matches of the Battle Royale or Resurgence will drastically gain you XP. Additionally, if you own Blackcell you'll get an extra 10% XP Boost, with more Boosts to come with future seasons. Slap a Double XP Token on and you receive a MASSIVE XP bonus for playing Warzone.

How ever you choose to play Call of Duty you'll earn XP that'll go towards claiming the Melee Weapons (and Perk) via the Armory. Using Double XP Tokens or grinding during Double XP Weekends will speed the process up.
