The classic Kar98K is returning to Modern Warfare III and Warzone in Season 4, this is how you can unlock the popular rifle in the upcoming seasonal update.
Two "new" weapons will be added to MW3 and Warzone in Season 4. The Spas-12 Shotgun and the Kar98K, previously a Sniper Rifle, now classified as a Marksman Rifle. Both of these weapons will be available for free to all players via the Season 4 Battle Pass.
To unlock the Kar98K in Warzone or Modern Warfare 3, players will need to grind the Season 4 Battle Pass. The Kar98K is unlockable from Sector 5 when the Battle Pass launches on May 29.
Both weapons can be unlocked without purchasing the Battle Pass simply by grinding the game and earning tokens for play time. If you do purchase the Battle Pass you will receive these weapons even faster.
If you upgrade to the Blackcell Battle Pass you will be able to use the free 20 tier skips to immediately obtain the Marksman Rifle.
Veteran Warzone players will have fond, or not so fond, memories of this weapon from the early days of Verdansk and Modern Warfare 2019. It absolutely dominated the meta for a very long time as it had 1-shot headshot capabilities and insane agility making it a very popular choice in Battle Royale.
