Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Zombies mode replaced the increasingly popular Warzone 2.0 DMZ mode. This left many fans of the mode stranded with nothing like it left in the Call of Duty universe as Zombies launched as a purely PVE game mode.
That might be about to change as Dataminers digging through Call of Duty files may have discovered files pertaining to PVP in Modern Warfare Zombies.
This rumor was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @r3al1tyuk, a prominent leaker in the Call of Duty community that a PVPVE version of MWZ could be coming.
The PVPVE section of the game would become its own separate game mode away from the PVE side so that fans who choose not to engage with other real players and want to focus on only fighting the undead and Mercs can avoid it.
This news had many divided over whether it was a good idea for Zombies or not. It leaves a lot of questions to be answered, such as how weapon balancing, more specifically, how Pack-a-Punched weapons might impact each PVP fight.
The important take away is that if this is coming it will be divided into its own separate mode so players aren't forced to take on other real players.
