Modern Warfare Zombies isn't getting any fresh content with the launch of Season 2 on February 7. Players will have to wait until the mid-season event to enjoy the next content drop.
New Warlord, Schematics, a new Story Mission, and a second Dark Aether Rift are expected to release with Season 2 Reloaded in early March.
Today we are taking a closer look at everything we know about the second Dark Aether Rift players will be able to enter to earn rewards and take on a new level of challenge.
A new Story Mission with new terrors lurking within the Dark Aether await you. You will utilize a variety of [[REDACTED]] during the investigation of a second Rift. Alarming aberrations abound in this new maze, as a mysterious entity makes her presence known to Ravenov and the team while they frantically search for an exit from the Rift. Earn coveted rewards, follow cryptic clues, and complete timed tasks, all while facing down the largest infested Stronghold yet seen!
A new Story Mission will have players follow a trail of clues, complete tasks, and enter the Second Rift, just as we did for the original Dark Aether Rift in Season 1.
This will likely be the method in which fans will unlock the new Classified Schematics that are also being added to the game in Season 2 Reloaded.
We don't know much detail about what players can expect once they enter the second Dark Aether Rift, but we do know that a new threat will make itself known and the location is (probably) Al Mazrah's Sa'id City, given the new features teaser image.
The image shows the Sa'id City carousel, fencing and tents in the background. This wouldn't be the first (or last) time we've seen Al Mazrah repurposed as the first Dark Aether Rift transported players to Al-Bagra Fortress.
We aren't expecting any more details until close to the launch of Season 2 Reloaded in several weeks time.
