The Melee weapons have received a major nerf for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Ranked Play after players complained about the overpowered secondary's.
Call of Duty developers have sent out a nerf that reduces the lethality of Melee weapons, the Gutter Knife and Karambit in the newly released MW3 Ranked Play.
When the mode initially launched players could 1-hit kill enemies with either the Gutter Knife or Karambit. This led many to become frustrated as no weapons TTK could match the speed at which knife-wielders could move and lunge in for the fatal stab.
But, in a timely fashion - Call of Duty developers have released an update that reduces the damage done with the melee weapons in Ranked Play. It will now require 2 slashes with melee to eliminate players.
This may come as bad news to some players who prefer the knife lifestyle but a sigh of relief to those who prefer bullets over steal.
