Warzone 2.0 Season 02 was due at the start of February but has been delayed. Infinity Ward has promised major changes across Warzone 2.0, DMZ and Modern Warfare II.
The Season 02 update for Warzone 2.0, Modern Warfare II and DMZ has been delayed. It was expected to launch at the beginning of next month on February 1 but will now release Feb 15. The reason for the delay has not been announced but we can expect plenty of major changes and content when it does finally arrive.
Call of Duty tweeted out a graphic that promises several changes based on community feedback, this includes loadout, gulag and looting in Warzone 2.0. What that actually means is anyone's guess, no further details have been shared. The Warzone community has been crying for big changes to the way the BR operates for some time now so it comes as a nice surprise that Infinity Ward is listening to those concerns and feedback.
"We look forward to sharing more details on the updates coming to Season 02 in a deep-dive studio blog next week. This includes exciting changes to Warzone 2.0 including gulag, looting and loadouts. More soon!" - Infinity Ward via Twitter.
As an educated guess we'd say the changes are as follows: The gulag will return to 1v1 or at least remove the Jugg. Loadout prices will drop significantly, right now you have to take out a mortgage to be able to afford one. Looting will return to a more Warzone 1 feel.
The big news of this story is that Resurgence is returning. Fans of Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep shall be pleased to read. A few months ago a leaked image of the new map was circulating the internet (including our website) that shows a Resurgence map that will not only be used for the fast-paced mini BR experience but DMZ and Ground War too.
Warzone 2.0 Season 02 should be packed with content across Warzone, MWII and DMZ. It releases on February 15.
