Warzone: 'Last Stand' Season 5 Collecting Faction Tokens Event Guide

Here is a run down on everything you need to know about completing the season 5 event for Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty Warzone's final season has dropped and with it comes a new event called Last Stand. This event let's players choose a side, villians or heroes, red versus blue. Players collect faction tokens for their choosen alliance.

Season 5 Last Stand

There are many ways to earn faction tokens across all Caldera game modes. This includes BR, Iron Trials and Plunder. The latter being the absolute best option for reasons we will outline down below.

How to Earn Faction Tokens

  • Collect Faction Tokens from dead enemies (100 Tokens)

  • Collect Faction Tokens from loot crates (100 Tokens)

  • Buy Faction Tokens from Buy Stations (500 Tokens)

What are Token's Worth

When you kill an enemy they will drop both a Hero Token and Villian Token, you can only choose to pick up one or the other. These are worth 100 Faction Tokens.

Loot crates will very occasionally drop Faction Tokens, again, you must collect the side you want. The other will vanish as soon as your choice has been made. These are also worth 100 Tokens.

Buying Faction Tokens is by far the fastest way to fill the Faction metre. $10k will get you a 500 Token bundle at Buy Station.

Best Way to Earn Faction Tokens

We discovered the absolute best way to earn Faction Tokens is in the gamemode Plunder. The tactic we used was to collect as much money as possible, and go to a Buy Station and purchase Faction Bundles.

Initially you'll be offered a discount at every Buy Station so a bundle will cost you $5000, and $10,000 after. (Each time you visit a new Buy Station you'll get the intial discount so it's worth moving around or spawning at a different Station)

As Plunder is a cash heavy game mode you can rack up ten's of thousands of dollars very quickly - all of which can be spent on Faction Token bundles.

Rewards

You can fill up both sides of the meter to unlock all sets of rewards. These rewards include an emblem, a charm and a weapon blueprint for both sides, either red or blue themed. There is also a gesture and a melee weapon that is blue on one side and red on the other.

Both sides require a total of 150,000 Tokens to complete, which sounds like a lot but using the strategy above we managed to get the Villians Faction up to 100,000 in just a few games of Plunder.

What happens at the end of the event?

At the end of the event either Heroes or Villians will be crowned the winner, which interestingly is completely down to the players. The side with the most Faction Tokens collected across all accounts is the winner.

At the time of writing this the Villians have a decent lead but as the event goes on this might change.

Endgame Reward

The Faction that wins will unlock a Faction themed blueprint for all players. This is either a Blue or Red skinned MP 40.

Additionally, if you are on the winning team (have more Faction Tokens for the right side) you'll be given a Battle Pass tier skips too. So it's worth trying to keep both Faction's Tokens balanced so at the end you can tip it to the winning side.

Final Thoughts

This is a fairly easy Event to complete, especially compared to the last event that required a large number of wins in Titanium Trials. This is one of those Time Played events rather than Player Skill based so all players have a fair shot at this one.

Rinse and repeat Plunder matches and you'll hit the target Faction Token amount in no time. Keep and eye on which team is winning towards the end of the event to unlock the Blueprint and Tier Skip rewards.

This is the final season of Warzone before the launch of Warzone 2.0. It's been a rollercoaster of a ride but it looks like Call of Duty wants it to go out with a bang.
