What to Expect in Warzone Season 03 Reloaded

Today we're going over what to expect in Warzone Season 03 Reloaded when it launches later in Season 03. The release date for S03 Reloaded isn't set in stone yet but many have speculated that it'll arrive on either April 24 or May 1 as the Season 03 update was delayed, this season appears to be a little bit shorter, so it's coming sooner rather than later.

A Reloaded event doesn't come as a surprise anymore as it's become a staple for Call of Duty in recent years. Warzone Season 03 will be no different and the upcoming mid-season update is expected to bring some new and old features, modes, and even a new weapon or two.

Specialist Perk Buy Stations

The first thing on the list is the specialist perk, this can be purchased from buy stations or occasionally found in loot crates. It gives the player every single perk available in warzone. It will return to buy stations and the game in the mid-season update. The call of duty blog posts actually teases that it is hidden elsewhere which is probably in the sealed bunkers

Portable Contamination Station Field Upgrade

The portable contamination station is also making its way back to warzone with the season 03 update. This field upgrade is used to keep you and your team alive in the gas for a short period of time to help you regroup or wait out a passing team.

Bunker Buster Killstreak

Let’s move on to killstreaks, the bunker buster is returning as a killstreak in S03. Bunker busters are a missile that fires straight down leaving a gas trail on nearly every floor of a building. It’ll be interesting to see how this acts in downtown for example with the big building. It could become very effective at taking out the roof top campers up there.

Big Game Bounty and Recon Contracts

Big Game Bounty and Recon contracts are returning with the next update, Big Game Bounty tasks you with hunting down the player with the most eliminations in the game. If you manage to find and eliminate them you’ll earn a 20 second Advanced UAV and a bunch of cash.

The recon contracts are already in the game, you’ll be sent to a location that you need to stand on for a short period of time to be rewarded with a small amount of loot and cash but you’ll also be shown the next circle move on your tac map.

The recon contract coming with Season 03 reloaded is specific to the train that is also making a come back. The train recon contract will have you stand in one of the trains carriages making you a moving target as you complete it. You’ll receive the usual loot and be shown the next circle on the tac map as with any recon contract.

Vertical Ascenders in Battle Royale

Vertical Ascenders will be introduced to Battle Royale sometime between now and the mid-season update. They can already been seen in plunder but the actual Battle Royale and Battle Royale Casual modes will get them very soon. These allow players to scale up the side of taller buildings adding an extra dimension to reaching higher ground.

Train Station Accessible

The underground train station areas found across Verdansk will be opened up. This was originally introduced during Season 05 of modern warfare back in 2020, with it later offering a fast travel system, allowing players to travel from station to station across the map almost instantly. A return of this feature was teased in the call of duty blog.

Warzone Battle Royale Ranked Play

One of the bigger features coming with the Season 03 Reloaded update is the return of Battle Royale Ranked Play. It will be set on Verdansk with up to 150 players in squad sizes of 3. You’ll be able to grind for rank and rewards as you always have.

As a side note I think ranked play could be a good opportunity for a few nerfs and buffs that hardcore players have been asking for like a nerf to the HDR or a buff of health to increase the time to kill times. It could become a truly competitive mode allowing the standard battle royale to remain more casual friendly.

High Trip Limited Time Mode

Moving on to Limited Time Modes, so far call of duty has announced the return of one Limited Time Mode called high trip that offers Resurgence style comebacks, a special narrator on the comms, and gameplay boosts. We’ll know more about that in the coming weeks.

Warzone New Weapons S03 Reloaded

And to wrap things up, season 03 reloaded will include a new SMG called the Ladra which is fully automatic with an extreme rate of fire, excellent range, and low recoil. The Ladra will be unlocked as an event reward.
