There is only one question on the lips of every Resurgence and Battle Royale player at the moment, when is Verdansk returning to Warzone? It's a good question with a good answer, soon enough.
Verdansk was confirmed to be returning to Call of Duty: Warzone late last year after years of fans asking for the classic big map to return. It was originally thought that Verdansk would return in the Fall of 2025, with Avalon, an original big map, expected to launch earlier in the year. These maps seem to have switched places with Verdansk coming sooner than expected.
When is Verdansk Returning to Warzone?

We need to begin by explaining that NO official release date for Verdansk has been shared by Call of Duty or any of it's social media pages. In fact, the company has been radio silent for a long time with regards to the map and it's release date.
Now that might concern a portion of the community, who might ask, has it been cancelled, or worse, delayed. We don't think so. Our best guess is that Call of Duty and the teams working on Warzone want the launch to be a complete surprise. Much like it was back in March 2020. Although some leaks had suggested it was coming, it did come as a nice surprise to most fans of the franchise.
Warzone: Verdansk Release Date*
So when can we (probably) expect to see Verdansk return to big map rotation? The most recent leaks suggest it will launch alongside Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 03 which is expected to release on March 20, 2025.
This would make sense as classically big drops happen at the beginning of Seasonal updates for Call of Duty games. Warzone (and Verdansk) 5th anniversary also falls on March 10, so reintroducing the iconic map would be excellent timing.
Again, we have to stress that leaks are leaks, they are subject to change, or simply put could be horse s**t. But, with the current state of Warzone fans are looking for a reason to jump back into the aging Battle Royale experience, Verdansk could improve player counts drastically, at least for a short while.
